Witch Hero Details, 2 Hero Preview, Dev Stream Tomorrow

We have returned from Philadelphia none the worse for wear. It was great meeting so many fans of One Deck Dungeon in person, and we dare say, we might have even created a few new ones. If you’ve come to the Kickstarter because you met Jeremy, Crista, Jenn, or Chris at the show - welcome to the party!
One thing we had for conference attendees is the new Witch Promo that we announced last week. If you couldn’t attend the show but still want to play One Deck Dungeon with this new hero, stay tuned! We expect to have a print-and-play for you soon.
Are you ready to bring the hammer down?
We also met some long-time Sentinels and Bottom of the 9th fans, and saw a real, honest-to-goodness copy of Forest of Shadows (shipping to backers soon)! All in all, year 1 for PAX Unplugged… I’m making a note here: Huge Success.
2 Heroes in the Dungeon
Fans of One Deck Dungeon know that you can play solo or with a party of 2 heroes. So what is that going to look like in the digital game? Here's one layout idea we are working on. The basic gameplay layout is the same, but the heroes share the left hand side with scrolling areas for skills. It's important to know whose dice belong to whom, so the dice pools are kept separate.
2 pools separated by ooze.
The usual caveats apply - this is still a work in progress, but you can get a feel for how it’s shaping up.
Live Streaming
Last week’s Dev Stream with John is now up on YouTube if you missed it live:
.
We’ll be live on Twitch tomorrow at 1 pm Eastern with Dev Stream 3. Here’s the plan for the last 2 developer streams of the campaign:
Wednesday November 22nd: Q+A with Chris from Asmadi and animation with Jennifer
Wednesday November 29th: Making the engine talk to the UI with Jean-Marc and John
We revealed the Witch last week when we crossed 750 social shares, and the next goal is right around the corner! We have a new boss and dungeon to reveal to you when you hit 1000 shares, and you are almost there!
Current social sharing count: 878

Stretch Goal Hero Revealed, Lore Book Preview, and Mobile Update
over 8 years ago

Mobile Update
We announced our mobile plans just yesterday and already over 220mobile backers have signed up (counted between Mobile Dungeon backers and add-ons). That means you’ve already shaved more than a week off the waiting period for One Deck Dungeon for tablets. If we can keep the energy up, we think it’s entirely possible that we’ll get to a simultaneous release.
Some of you have asked about mobile pricing. We are still deciding what the price will be on tablets, but we will ensure that mobile backers will not spend more for the game than Steam backers. This could mean a lower price on mobile in general, a launch discount to cover the $1 you all kicked in to make the game a reality, or something else. We promise to keep you posted once we decide.
Social Sharing Unlocks New Info
Not surprisingly, there was tons of sharing activity yesterday of the big mobile news and we’re thrilled to report that the campaign has now been shared over 800 times on social media. That is notably more than the 750 you needed to learn about the mystery character, so it’s time for a reveal.
Say hello to the newest hero of One Deck Dungeon… The Witch!
Hammersmash!
She’s ready to swing that magic hammer and turn the glooping ooze into a glooping puddle, and she will come to the Treasure Chest if we can get to the $40k stretch goal.
Keep on sharing to Facebook and Twitter! The next social goal is 1000 shares which will reveal the secret dungeon stretch goal! Just share the link to this update or retweet either Handelabra or Asmadi Games tweets about the campaign.
Digital Lore Book Preview
Several of you have asked, “what exactly is the digital lore book?” The idea of the Lore Book is to give you background info on all the encounters in the game in a fun, attractive format you can browse at your leisure.
Work in progress sample page
The Digital Lore Book is included in several of the higher Backer Levels, but can also be added on to any pledge for $10.
PAX Unplugged Starts Friday
And finally, another reminder that we’ll be at PAX Unplugged in Philly this weekend. Come find us at booth #139 and say hi. You might be able to learn a bit more about the Witch if you do so!

Yesterday was a great day on the campaign, with lots of activity! We’ve got more to tell you about in another update later today. But first we'd like to remind you that there’s a Developer Stream this afternoon!
Join us at 1 pm Eastern on our Twitch channel to learn about building the UI for One Deck Dungeon. John will show how the rules and components of the game come to life in the visual interface built in the Unity 3D system.
If you can’t watch live, don't worry - we always post our live streams to YouTube afterward. Last week’s live stream with Jean-Marc is available on YouTube if you'd like to catch up.
You Did It: 100% Funded! And about mobile...
– Tue, Nov 14, 2017 at 09:02:33 PM
You did it! Thanks to your support, One Deck Dungeon is officially funded, and will be coming to Steam. Thank you to everyone who has backed us so far, we’re so excited that this will now become a reality! We’re still less than halfway to the end of the campaign and there are plenty of stretch goals to achieve. And today we have some news for you.
Kickstarter is a really great platform for learning about the market for a product before you complete it. If there is one thing that has become clear to us since we launched, it’s that lots of people really want to play One Deck Dungeon on the go. We always wanted mobile to be in the roadmap, but given the feedback we’ve gotten so far, we’ve decided to update our plan a bit.
Now that Digital One Deck Dungeon is definitely going to be made, we’ve decided to commit to mobile as well. One Deck Dungeon will be available on iPad and Android tablets 1 month after 1.0 launches on Steam.
One Deck Dungeon on the go!
While we still cannot offer keys directly for mobile versions of One Deck Dungeon, we really want mobile players to be able to participate in the campaign. The new Mobile Dungeon backer level is $1 and officially registers your desire to see One Deck Dungeon come to mobile. Your name will be listed in a special section of the credits dedicated to the mobile backers.
But there's a better reason to back at that level! For every registered mobile backer, we will release One Deck Dungeon for tablets 1 hour earlier. There are 720 hours in a month, so if 720 people back it at this level, tablet support will launch day and date with One Deck Dungeon for Steam.
To answer some of the questions we think might be bouncing around in your heads:
1) What devices and platforms will be supported?
We plan for the the first release of One Deck Dungeon for mobile to support iPad (iOS 10 or later) and Android tablets (Android 4.4 or later on Google Play).
2) I backed for Steam but I also want to support mobile, can I help?
Yes! Just add $1 to your pledge to be registered as a mobile backer.
2a) How will you track this?
Aside from counting backers at the mobile level, we will tally up the pledges that have $1 added. Since every other backer level ends in a 0 or 5, this should be pretty straightforward, and we’ll keep you posted on your progress in updates.
3) Is there a way for a mobile backer to get a copy of the Digital Lore Book? What about the Soundtrack?
Yes! If you would like to get the Digital Lore Book as an Add-On, you can now add $10 to your pledge. Likewise, there is now a $5 Add-On for the Soundtrack. Just add the appropriate amount to your pledge and after the campaign ends, the pledge manager will let you order whatever you would like.
4) What if we get MORE than 720 mobile backers?
We like where your head is at, but the tablet version will not come out before the Steam version. Perhaps there'll be another bonus, but time will tell.
5) What about phones?
Support for phone-sized devices is a much bigger job than tablet support. It will require a new approach to the user interface, similar to how we brought Sentinels of the Multiverse to phones. While we would still like to have phone support in the road map, this announcement only covers tablets.
PAX Unplugged & Sharing
Don’t forget to come say hi if you are at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia this weekend. We’ll be at booth #139.
Share the campaign with your friends! We expect there are lots of folks out there that will be excited about Tablet Support for One Deck Dungeon, so let them know! The more shares we get, the close we get to revealing the mystery stretch goals!

First Social Sharing Goal Achieved - Plus, PAX Unplugged
over 8 years ago
– Fri, Nov 10, 2017 at 02:16:29 PM
As of this writing, news of the campaign has been shared 526 times! We think that earns you all a reward, so here’s a brand new way to show your One Deck Dungeon love - a pack of wallpapers featuring the heroic stars of the game! See below to download your free wallpapers.
Now that you’ve accomplished this goal, we need to give you something else to work towards. Earlier this week, we revealed that Fanatic from Sentinels of the Multiverse will come to One Deck Dungeon as a stretch goal, but we also mentioned another mysterious hero and a new boss and dungeon. Keep spreading the word to unlock more info about each of these stretch goals!
750 shares: We will reveal the name and design of the new mystery hero!
1000 shares: We will reveal the name and preliminary design of the new mystery boss and dungeon!
How can you help spread the word?
Download and use our custom One Deck Dungeon avatars, here on Kickstarter or other social media.
If we can keep the energy high, hopefully we can be fully funded going into PAX Unplugged next week.
